Mike Hughes
Born and raised in New Castle County. A Journeyman Millwright by trade with a fond appreciation of firearms and our rights. We started this Company because we wanted to do something that we really had a passion for. This has turned out to be so much more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. I firmly believe that this is my calling and I enjoy every day of it.
My goals are to better my family’s safety and security and to create a safer community through training and responsible firearms usage and ownership. We are educating entire families and our community to be more situationally aware and to understand how to responsibly protect themselves.
I currently have 20+ years experience in the firearms community and the majority of my formal training has been through the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).

On a personal note, I enjoy hiking with my wife and dogs, spending time with the grandkids and getting some sunshine and wind on the bike.

Nicole Hughes
I am a true Delawarian…I grew up in Newark and currently live in Townsend. I have been in the banking and finance industry for years. If someone would have told me that I would become a Firearms Instructor before 2016, I would have laughed. Prior to that, I was absolutely petrified of firearms until I had an issue that could have gone very wrong.
With that being said, my journey in the world of firearms began. My husband, Mike had been teaching firearm classes for years. I have seen how impactful those classes have been for many but noticed there was a need for more female instructors. Not everyone feels comfortable asking questions or brining up fears or concerns in those classes and so, my journey began. I feel like not only am I giving back but I’m helping keep my “neighbors” safer and more aware.

Personally, I love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking with my “little pups,” martial arts, reading and eating baked goods in large quantities. I also have a sick and twisted sense of humor and have come to the realization that life is way too short to take things so seriously. Being a Firearms Instructor has taken me so far out of my comfort zone and I am loving every minute of it.
